𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐀®-𝐎𝐆𝐒 #𝟐: 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐱 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐀®-𝐈𝐁𝐂 💡🛰️ 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞? It’s all thanks to spatial diversity and incoherent mode combining. 🔗 As the laser signal travels upward to the satellite, it encounters atmospheric turbulence. To counteract this, Cailabs has developed the 𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐀®-𝐈𝐁𝐂, a cutting-edge incoherent combining technology. This solution enables spatial diversity within a single beam, significantly reducing the likelihood of signal interruptions during its journey. Deployed in our 𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐀®-𝐎𝐆𝐒 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, this technology not only extends the transmission range but also bolsters the signal's resilience against turbulence, ensuring high-performance connectivity. 📶🌐 Explore groundbreaking solutions for combating atmospheric turbulence with 𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐀®-𝐈𝐁𝐂 and dive deeper into our innovative techniques at 👉 https://lnkd.in/ey_WiU-p #OpticalGroundStation #LaserCommunication #OGS #SpaceTech

🔆 In celebration of the International Day of Light, we'd like to share with you these lovely artworks that decorate our meeting rooms here at Cailabs. They depict our favorite physicists who illuminated our understanding of the universe with their work.   💡 Implemented by the UNESCO and celebrated each year on the 16th of May, the international day of light indeed shines a bright light on all the advancements and scientific breakthroughs that we've witnessed in light-based technologies and sciences. It also highlights their real-life applications in communications, healthcare, energy and beyond.   📅 Why May 16th? It marks the birth of the laser, a revolutionary tool (and our bread and butter here at Cailabs) that has since sparked countless innovations and discoveries. It's in fact the anniversary of the first successful operation of the laser in 1960 by physicist, Theodore Maiman.   Got any other quotes in mind? Know any fun facts or tidbits about light? Don't hesitate to share them with us. 👇   #internationaldayoflight #laser #photonics #innovativetechnology #light

📌 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐢𝐬 📶 Recent tests carried out with our partner, the Institut MAUPERTUIS, have enabled us to determine the repeatability of our CANUNDA-HP shaping solution and validate its industrial relevance. We conducted a series of 50 welding tests on copper samples (1.5mm and 2mm thick, the typical thickness of busbars in the industry) using the optimal welding parameters: 8kW power, 5m/min speed, 0mm focal position, and a 70% central spot to 30% ring distribution. 🔍 To validate the quality of each sample, we performed a triple check: 🔸 Visual inspection of the weld bead 🔸 Macrographic section analysis 🔸 Precitec's LWM sensor providing 3 signals (plume, temperature, and reflection) to detect any process variability 📽️ The video below compiles all 50 welds, superimposing these 3 checks. 📉 We achieved a 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝟒% according to our criteria and tolerances. For our first scrap rate test campaign, this rate matched that of a competing technology under the same conditions. 👏 A heartfelt thanks to Gwenn Pallier, Adrien DOUARD, and Avinash Kumar for their contributions to this project. Follow us for more insights as we continue to push the boundaries of welding technology! #AdvancedManufacturing #CopperWelding #LaserWelding
